I can provide a workshop in school, nursery or college linked to the curriculum a any key stage. Workshops can be full day, half day or as a before/after school club for up to 9 learners at a time. We can work together to agree outcomes that will link into your chosen topic and can combine with other subjects such as History, Science, Maths, Design and Technology, and Literature (please see lesson plans below).

Previous topics have included; Roman jugs, Anglo-Saxon bowls, African masks, Easter crosses, WWI medals, Antony Gormley: Field for the British Isles (made in Humberside), Gordon Baldwin (famous Potter from Lincoln), Grayson Perry self-portrait glazed tiles, sculptures, animals and characters such as; ‘the Very Hungry Caterpillar’, ‘What the Ladybird Heard’ and ‘Aliens in Underpants Save the World’.

You provide the venue and I will do the rest. Each learner will be introduced to the materials, design their own piece of work with my help, then use techniques to hand build a piece of pottery using either Earthenware, Stoneware or Terracotta. I will then take your work and fire it in my kiln and return it to you as a finished piece within 4 weeks, all materials are included.

I am fully DBS enhanced and can provide risk assessments and Public Liability Insurance of up to £5,000,000. I am an Arts Awards Advisor and Assessor for all levels of Arts Awards: Discover, Explore, Bronze, Silver and Gold and have an NCFE Level 3 in Education & Training.
